Description:
The goal of this course is to provide information technology profesionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful and excel in developing digital media content for the web.
Interactive media relates to the concept of interaction between computers and their users. Pervasive use of digital media in everyday life whether to browse the latest news updates, check the weather, watch a movie, shop for a gift, pay bills or drive virtual Rover on surface of Mars on NASA's web site makes this area of technology particularly exciting. It allows developers to dive into unknown and use their imagination to find new ways for presenting numerous types of digital content. This course leads you through steps needed to build strong foundation of producing and presenting interactive digital content. It builds on basics of web site development and quickly progresses into graphics manipulation with Adobe Photoshop, creating video for web with Adobe Flash and developing three tier web application using LAMP platform. This course can be a great way to prepare for an exciting career in this growing sector in the interactive meddia industry.
Audience:
Anyone involved in designing and managing digital media content for the web. Web developers.
Prerequisites:
Basic computing skills. Basic knowledge of web design. Strong personal interest for designing digital content.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this training, the student should be able to:
- Set up and configure a web site hosting dynamic digital content.
- Design web site with static content.
- Design static web media content.
- Design digital web media content with Adobe Flash.
- Develop a three-tier interactive web application using LAMP platform.
Format:
This class, including hands-on activities, is offered as a private, instructor-led class taught at a instructor’s facility on one week for up to 9 students.
Hands-on activities, guided walk-throughs, use-case scenarios and best practices are used to reinforce learning.
