- CH8001 - Introduction to Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 1 (8 weeks)
- CH8002 - Advanced Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 2 (8 weeks)
- CH8003 - Expert in Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 3 (8 weeks)

Each course level meets twice a week during the evening. The course material can be customized to fit with your schedule, your specific objectives, and your learning style. In this course, students will learn about Chinese business culture as well as business etiquette. The courses will also provide students with interesting activities to experience local Chinese tradition. These courses will prepare participants for Mandarin business Chinese and give them the confidence to participate in office negotiations or other types of business.

Program Description
CH8001 - Introduction to Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 1(8 weeks)
This course is suitable for students who have no background in Mandarin. The purpose of the course is to provide students with a basic foundation of Mandarin, starting with Han Yu PinYin, pronunciation, simple characters, and basic conversational skills needed for successful business function. In this level, you will study how to initiate and respond to basic conversations in business activities such as: greetings, introductions, exchanging business cards, getting through customs, checking into a hotel, banking, and etiquette. You will also learn about the many differences between Chinese culture and Western culture. This program is a foundation for you to enter into the following two programs: CH8002 – Advanced Level and CH8003 – Expert Level.
What is included in the CH8001 – Introduction to Business Mandarin:
- 1. Introduction into the Chinese language
- 2. How to do business in China
- 3. Chinese phonetics, Chinese character pronunciation, phrases and expressions
- 4. Chinese character writing, etymology, grammar and syntax
- 5. 400+ Most frequently used Chinese characters and usage
- 6. Multiple practically-used situational dialogue
- 7. Introduction into Business etiquette education, Chinese history, traditions and customs
- 8. Western-Chinese cultural differences comparison and analysis
- 9. Team-work with your partner to practice Chinese learning

CH8002 - Advanced Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 2 (8 weeks)
This advanced level is designed for students who have previous knowledge or have completed the introductory Mandarin course (CH8001 – Introduction). This course focuses on oral communications, reading, and listening comprehension. In this program you will study more complicated topics related to business such as: basic business negotiations, sales promotions, and reading simple project proposals. You will also learn more about the structure of Chinese characters and the rules of character building. This program level will help you gain the necessary skills for reading the newspaper, understanding the news, discussing the economy, and analyzing concrete business terms and cases. After completing the advanced level, students will be able to use 2500 words.
What is included in Advanced Business Mandarin/Chinese

- 2. Speaking, reading, listening comprehension and Character writing
- 3. Advanced multiple practically-used situational dialogue and syntax analysis
- 4. Business etiquette education, Chinese history, traditions and customs ; Western-Chinese cultural differences comparison and analysis
- 5. Business Documentation in Chinese/Mandarin

CH8003 - Expert in Business Mandarin/Chinese – Level 3 (8 weeks)
The expert level is designed for those who have completed both the introductory and advanced level programs and can use Chinese effectively on various business topics. Participants are able to communicate spontaneously with good grammatical control and without much sign of restriction. This program level would help students understand virtually everything heard or read and express themselves fluently. This includes differentiating the finer shades of meaning in complex business situations and being capable of interpreting nearly all forms of the written language.
What is included in Expert Business for Mandarin/Chinese
- 1. 5000+ Most frequently used Chinese characters and usage
- 2. Speaking, reading, listening comprehension and character writing
- 3. Learning sophisticated topics that appear in public media and writings and a vast knowledge of China's emerging market, business investment environment, and China's commercial culture.
- 4. Learning to read the underlying meaning of business texts in Chinese and write long thesis to present your business-related research findings.

Price
Our schedule is very flexible and will take classes in the evening or on the weekend to suit your needs. We have group classes and one on one class.
- 1. One-on-one (business) $50/hr, minimum 5 hours + cost of the text material.
- 2. Two-on-one (per group) business $88/hr for a group, minimum 5 hours + cost of the text material.
- 3. Group classes:
CH8001 – Introduction, $518.00 per student (8 weeks, 32 hours, text included). CH8002 – Advanced, $518.00 per student (8 weeks, 32 hours, text included). CH8003 – Expert, $518.00 per student (8 weeks, 32 hours, text included.
At the end of each level, successful candidates will receive certificates.
Schedule
Introduction level is provided twice a week on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Advanced level is provided twice a week on Tuesday and Friday nights from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Expert level is provided twice a week on Thursday nights 6:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturday mornings 9:00am – 11:00am.
